Sander repair success story

My klutzy spouse, while using our Bosch belt sander, let the power cord slip into the crack (get eaten by the belt... like your worst escalator nightmare). The sander came to a frozen halt. With herculean strength (ok, tools) I pulled the cord out, fixed the cord, then found that the sander wouldn't deliver much power to the belt...it was spinning / stripped inside.

I found an aluminum gear-like "toothed pulley" needing replacement (the motor-drive-belt spins the pulley, the pulley spins the larger rubber sandpaper-belt-wheel, if the pulley hole isnt chewed like mine was). I figured my chances were HOPELESS finding these parts easily enough to justify fixing a sander worth maybe $50, but I googled Bosch sander parts and found toolbarn this way.

But wait, can you believe this: toolbarn had exploded-part-diagrams for various Bosch sanders so I could SEE that I was ordering what I needed. Also: cheap prices (total order + handling + shipping near $20) ! Final idiot-proof story; I hit my browser BACK button during a brain-melt, and accidentally made my order twice, so I emailed customer service to see about cancelling the accidental duplicate order. Stepanie emailed me back a day or 2 later assuring me that the system was smart and had suppressed the duplicate order. You "guys" rock.

Now back to my original problem: should I really let my spouse use power tools? Huge thanks!
